Ceramic Artist Rose Roccaforte intuitively hand builds energetic sculptural pieces out of clay, which try to reflect the diversity and exuberance of life. Her work is vivid, using contrasting textures and colours to enhance its sensory impact. Influenced by freedom of expression in all its guises, Roccaforte’s work has ‘a life to it’.
Currently living in Galway, she has graduated from CCAM GMIT, with BA(Hons) in Fine Art Ceramics and a special purpose award in Group Arts Facilitation. She works teaching ceramics to residents in a rehabilitation centre, and would like to continue her journey within Arts and Health.
Roccaforte was born and raised in London, and Cork City. She is of Irish/Italian heritage. Some of the exhibitions she has been part of include, Mason Hayes and Curran’s Art @ Christmas, PrintWorks at Dublin Castle, and Clay Galway at the Tribeton. Her work is in Private Collections throughout Ireland.
