Ness Kelly was born in Dublin.  She grew up in Wicklow in the beautiful landscape of Rathdrum.  She completed the foundation year in Arts and Crafts at Grennan Mill Craft school, Thomastown, Kilkenny in 1982.  Ness trained as a Potter with Roger Walker pottery in Kilkenny and Letterfrack.  In 2016 she graduated from GMIT with a BA in Fine Art.  Her community and social projects have influenced her work, as has her teaching of ceramics.  She is a multi disciplinary artist, with her main focus on ceramics and painting.  She lives with her family in Co.Galway, near Ahascragh, on a farm, where she continues her art practice.
